AA has scored another first with a website devoted exclusively to woman power – female travelers, to be precise. Women travelers are growing in economic clout and for AA, an exclusive website is a careful strategy to step up business from this important segment.
While hotels have not been shy to pamper female customers with spa-services & child-friendly amenities, few companies have a clearly defined and continually monitored strategy designed to attract and retain the female customer. It might be argued that female guests have the same or only slightly different preferences from male guests. Perhaps, research is needed on the loyalty levels of female travelers and whether it’s worth marketing to them.
