Business travelers – taking it easy!

A new poll by Orbitz highlights the pet peeves of business travelers – big surprise, there are not many. Interestingly, the blackberry tribes and 24/7 workforces are winding down a bit (it seems). A majority of travelers have NOT lost baggage in the last year (thus debunking the myth that lost baggage is a chronic problem). 59% of travelers preferred a newspaper or a book over blackberry email while waiting for their flights! Perhaps, hotels should take a cue and step up amenities designed to decompress – entertainment (ipods, zunes, gaming), spa facilities, libraries, free sightseeing tours. The business traveler, it seems, is ready for a good time! As for the crackberries, they are not going away anytime too soon (as millions have gotten used to the comfort of access even if they are not necessarily closing deals between take-offs).
